An expert in individual sales or business sales, team sales or direct sales can easily take up Sales Coaching as a profession. Achieving success in sales field is not a cake walk and those who are successful in sales are quite capable of becoming good coachers. While having confidence on what you sell is important, be it an idea or selling a television, it is more essential to possess command over the product or the idea. To create that confidence and build the command, coaching plays a significant role in sales.
There is lot of ambiguity surrounding the differences between coaching and training. Sales training is learning new things, new concepts or to learn new ways to do the selling whereas coaching is something which makes one capable enough to implement what has been learnt through training and master it over the long term. Sales coaching in a nutshell is nothing but implementation of various sales strategies, sales plans and new ways of selling for grabbing that much sought after dream deal. So sales training and sales coaching are two different sides of a coin and both are co-existent.
